Norwegian taco spice mix

Or really, East Coast US type taco spice, the instant spice you get in packages in your grocery store. This kind of tacos is a huge deal in Norway and ‘Friday tacos’ is well established in Norwegian households. Eaten week (and year) around, though.

Multiply this recipe as much as you want and keep a stock of spice ready to go in your spice shelf. A great advantage of making it yourself is that you exclude the salt, thereby getting to salt the meat separately during frying. Which you really should to make the meat taste better.

Note

  • Multiply the recipe and keep a spice stock for your Friday tacos
  • For 1 pound meat use ca. 25 gram spice mix.
